Cristina Troufa (2017): “Deep down, I believe we are all equal, men and women, but whose life during this life, and perhaps in another one, made some characteristics highlight more than others. In my work, the women’s world shown is the unseen world, so it is not relevant the clothes or shoes they wear: that’s why the dress is almost always the same, sometimes it’s painted, sometimes it’s not, and the colors I use most often hinge on their symbolic value”.
