Oil on canvas: 213 x 213 cm. Neil Stokoe (2015): “There are some people who try to disavow linear perspective and I’m not one of them. There are certain things you can’t do with it but you can, at the same time, build a sense of monumentality and psychic unease which is a paradoxical situation. When it works it adds a kind of tension which you can take away after you’ve left the painting”.
